The Storyline

When the story begins, Eric and his friends are normal kids living life. Then one night at a basketball game they meet Katelyn who lures Eric into using an addictive drug. As the story unfolds, getting and using the drug becomes the center of Eric’s life. Within a short time, he is a teenage drug addict. Readers witness Eric’s decline into a miserable life shared by so many. 

The Characters

Eric, his friends Andrew and Noah, their teacher, and Eric’s mother are all affected by Eric’s choice. Katelyn and Ricky profit from Eric’s troubles. Rounding out the cast of characters are police detectives, a prison guard, and the two patrons.
